Amazing brunch spot in Napa with stunning views! We strolled through the garden while waiting for our food. A truly delightful experience--would definitely come back again for the ambiance and the delicious meal!
Brix is an incredible restaurant that we absolutely love! The convenience of easy parking and the option to enter through the front door or their charming garden, filled with fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs used in many of their dishes, sets the tone for an amazing experience. The freshness of everything on the menu really stands out. We were celebrating our anniversary, and to our surprise, we were welcomed with an anniversary card and a box of truffles--such a thoughtful touch that made the evening even more special. We always enjoy sitting on the outdoor patio to take in the view of their beautifully maintained garden. As for the food, we started with the crispy deviled eggs - they were a perfect balance of creaminess and crunch. The burrata appetizer was also fantastic. We couldn't resist the crab fondue, and by the time we finished that, we were already feeling full because everything was just so delicious! Despite being stuffed, we shared the Brix BLAT sandwich, and wow - the tender pork belly was like a flavor explosion. We had to skip dessert because we were too full, but every dish was amazing. Each visit to Brix is consistently great, and we're never disappointed. The service is excellent, and the ambiance is just wonderful. This place is truly a must-visit!
If you're in between wine tours in Napa on Highway 29 and need a lunch break, Brix is a class spot to enjoy cheddar cheeseburgers, wood fire-grilled artichoke, and class cocktails. It's a good change of pace in between trying flights of different wines and needing something to fill your stomach so that you can enjoy more wine later in the day. Their espresso martinis are also a highlight of their menu, which we enjoyed towards the end of our meal. I made reservations at least a month in advance just in case there were any capacity issues, so we were going during the in-season. They sat us right away with a lovely view of the outdoor patio and the west side of Napa Valley. Our server was lovely and attentive to our needs, especially since we were in Napa celebrating our birthdays and our Irish Wedding Anniversary.
My family and I had a great time at Brix. We loved being able to sit on their patio, with a gorgeous view of the sunset and their private garden. The food was fantastic, and our server was very friendly and attentive. Thank you to the team at Brix! We plan on coming back in the near future.
We always drive by but have never stopped. I thought Father's Day brunch would be perfect here. Reservations were easy to make. We arrived 30 min before our reservation but they we able to seat us within 15 min. The restaurant is clean and I love the welcoming outdoor patio seating. If you get lucky, you will see the Napa Valley train go by. You won't miss it. Service was wonderful! I enjoyed my crab cake sandwich. It had a nice spice to it and the brioche bread is the right touch. I loved the friend green beans!! A must with your meal. One thing that stood out was the cheesecake dessert. I did not expect to like it so much. It was fluffy and not too sweet to the taste. Hubby enjoyed his prime rib, though he felt it was more on the medium side vs medium rare. Our son said the Mac n cheese was the star of his meal. I would come back and dine here again. Felt prices were on the higher side but what isn't these days. There is ample parking on both sides of the restaurant.
Brix has been on our to-try list for quite some time, but we finally got to try it this weekend. Here's the rundown of what we ordered: -The Far Niente Chardonnay was what the sommelier recommended. It was peachy, refreshing and a nice complement to the seafood we ordered. -The Dungeness crab fondue is melted cheese in a ramekin, served with toast slices. It was creamy, delicious and not too salty. -Mushroom risotto with prawns as an add-on. The risotto was flavorful and creamy. And there were soooo many mushrooms, which I loved. It's so filling that I had to take my leftovers home, which made for a nice second meal. -The blueberry crumble is a great dessert to share. Tip: Make sure you build in enough time to check out the beautiful back garden.
We came here for our last night in Napa and it was interesting. The food is good, the waiter was difficult to understand but the scenery and musician are both OUTSTANDING!! The artichoke was great and gluten free. The scallops were tender and delicious but I think there was cheese in the mash and veggies. Bf had a steak and he liked it. No dessert since I'm so full!!!
Celebrating an early Mother's Day! We arrived an hour before our 6:15pm reservation and were accommodated easily. Service: Read the last few reviews: ouch. I think they turned things around because we received excellent service! So much, in fact, it was the first thing we all commented on during the car ride home. Food: - Smoked blue crab cakes ($25): We would pass on the blue crab cakes: lots of filler and the crunchy outside was nonexistent. 2/5 - Sautéed petrale sole ($39): The fish also did not have any pan fry to it but was cooked well. The celery root croquettes were a first for everyone and added some much needed crunch to the dish. 3/5 - Kelleher braised short rib ($41): The short rib was tender. I didn't try any other components of the meal, but my bf's dad ordered it specifically for the creamy polenta listed on the menu. 4/5 - Caramelized sea scallops ($44): Fantastic. Excellent pan sear, loved the black truffle vinaigrette and toasted hazelnuts. 5/5 MUST GET! - Wood grilled steak frites ($41): The steak had a very nice smoky flavor, although it was a bit on the salty side. The frites were perfect with the truffle aioli. 4/5 I also really enjoyed the complimentary bread that had some delicious cheese embedded in it. We finished our meal with the gluten free chocolate torte. So rich and decadent! One bite was enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. 4/5 We took a little stroll in the garden post dinner and discovered their beautiful patio area. Next time we will grab a glass of wine and some apps out there.
